PCN/EOL Service
Engicam provides a Product/Process Change Notification (PCN) and End of Life (EOL) Notification service. As part of the PCN/EOL service Engicam will post notifications for changes to product(s) and/or process(s) that affect form, fit, or function. Engicam will also post notifications for product obsolescence.
Engicam has three notification categories that include Manufacturing Change Notifications, Document Change Notifications and EOL Change Notifications.
Product change notification (PCN)
In the event Engicam determines to make a product change, Engicam will provide notification of affected products that have had business activity within 3 month from the effective date. In case of minor changes to the products (that do not affect Hardware, Software or mechanics) the notify could be released with one month notice. The notification will be posted at Engicam online change notification system and delivered via email to customers who register at https://www.engicam.com/register.
Product Life Cycle / End of Life
Engicam understands that our customers often require long product life cycles.
Engicam values our customers’ needs, and so, when reasonably possible, we try to keep older products in production for many years, even when newer and more cost-effective products become available.
There are times, however, when product obsolescence (End of Life or EOL) can not be avoided. Mainly when a component of a card or a system is put into obsolescence by its own manufacturer and no alternative component can be found on the market.
In the event Engicam determines to make a product obsolete or End of Life (EOL), Engicam will provide notification of affected products that have had business activity as soon as possible, hopefully within 6 month from the effective date. The notification will be posted at Engicam online change notification system and delivered via email to customers who register at https://www.engicam.com/register. Engicam will provide a list of affected products and may identify replacement or alternative products in the EOL notifications when applicable.
